About

Jason Lally is a strategist and designer working at the intersection of compassion and technology. As founder of Fearless Loveworks, he helps governments and communities build systems that care — blending clear thinking, radical compassion, and courageous design to make institutions more human.

I’ve spent my career helping governments and communities make better decisions with data, design, and dialogue. My work lives where technology meets humanity — creating systems that not only serve people, but care for them.

Before starting Fearless Loveworks, I was most recently California's Chief Data Officer. I've led data and innovation efforts inside public institutions, where I learned that meaningful change happens when people feel seen, respected, and included. The tools matter, but the relationships matter more.

Today, I work with teams who want to bring heart back into how they govern, design, and build. Whether it’s re-imagining data governance, crafting ethical technology strategies, or facilitating cross-sector collaboration, my approach begins and ends with compassion.

I believe systems can love back.
That’s what Fearless Loveworks is all about.
